THE COMPANY

UNIGRAIN PTY LTD is a global exporter of quality seed, grain, pulses and potatoes, supplying customers in over 45 countries. UniGrain sources product from a large nationwide customer base, to provide the highest quality product to our customers in both the domestic and international market.

UniGrain was formed in July 2006 as the result of a merger between WD Seeds Pty Ltd, established in 1981 and Southern Cross Grains Pty Ltd, originally established in 1978. The merger of these two companies has seen the amalgamation of two well established and experienced exporters within the grain industry. UniGrain's staff has extensive experience in the grain industry, with many staff coming from an agricultural background. UniGrain has a strong focus on assisting growers and customers with their individual requirements.

The synergies of combining one of Australia's most extensive Milling Operations in WD Seeds Pty Ltd, with the highly experienced Trading Floor of Southern Cross Grains Pty Ltd will ensure that we can provide an even greater range of products and services for both customers and suppliers of UniGrain Pty Ltd.

UniGrain sources products from across Australia in order to ensure that we meet our customer's requirements. UniGrain also specializes in niche grains, which are mainly grown in select climatic regions of Eastern Australia.

The large and modern processing and packing plant at UniGrain's Smeaton site, offers a variety of processing facilities to produce value added products. The facility operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, all year round, enabling continuity of supply to meet market demands worldwide. Direct and frequent communication with growers and customers ensures we are kept up to date with the latest market trends.

To compliment the export market, UniGrain also supplies cereals, pulses, oilseeds and processed grain for the domestic market. In addition, UniGrain also provides by-products to the stock-feed market.
